The BS in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management is a professional program of the Bryan School of Business and Economics. This program has provided information systems and supply chain management professionals for firms in the Triad, the state, and the nation for over thirty years.
Students completing the BS program in ISSCM pursue one of the two concentrations: Information Systems (IS) or Supply Chain Management (SCM). The two concentrations require a common set of core courses and courses unique to each concentration.
- Infomations Systems Concentration
- The Information Systems concentration places emphasis on computer programming, systems development, databases, network management, e-commerce, information security, and web site development. This is the more technical of the two programs and the one with the highest demand for graduates. Graduates of the program accept positions as web developers, programmers, systems analysts, IT quality analysts, applications developers, and database analysts.
- Supply Chain Management
- The Online Degree Completion (ODC) program serves transfer students and students who wish to return to UNCG to complete their bachelor’s degree. This program is specifically planned to provide students with the opportunity to complete their work online toward an AACSB-accredited BS in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. Courses are taught by the same faculty who teach on campus. First you must apply to UNCG and then separately to the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Online major. After successful admission to the university, an advisor will work with you to make sure you have completed or will complete general education and pre-admission courses before entering the ISSCM Online program. Students who have not completely met these requirements can complete them at a community college or in some cases through UNCG web-based courses.
