Summary

Kherson State University (KSU) - institution of higher education in Kherson, Ukraine. He is one of the oldest schools in southern Ukraine.

University trains specialists in 34 specialties. The teaching staff consists of 68 professors, doctors, 234 associate professors, PhDs, 105 senior teachers, assistants.

The University has 6 buildings and 3 dormitories. In addition, the services of students and teachers of KSU - dining room, sanatorium, health center, water-sport station on the Dnieper, sports camp "Petrel" at the Black Sea Observatory, agrobiostation-botanical garden, 3 gyms 1 gym and 2 assembly halls, agricultural machinery fleet, dance classes, art workshops, Educational and Publishing center, Ukrainian cultural center, museum and archive center, exhibition hall and more.

Bachelor Programs

Since 1986 Chair of Computer Science, Software Engineering and Economic Cybernetics (Chair of CSSEEC) of Kherson State University egins to teach bachelors and master-level students in specialty “Computer Science and Information Technology”. Most of the graduates of specialty “Computer Science and Information Technology” successfully pass job interviews and hire out in IT industry, Finance Industry, Public Industry that focus on software development, such as IT company DataArt, LTD Logicify, Support Center of IT named after Steve Jobs (Postindustria), Web-studio Wezom, IT company YSBM Group, Internatiomal Banks and Governments Departments etc, and get quite large starting salary. At the same time, the graduates who want to pursue any researches could seek to employ in Departments and Chairs of Education Industry with further entrance on PhD programs in Ukraine and International PhD programs. Chair of CSSEEC is actively engaged into international collaboration. The students and post-graduates students of CSSEEC Chair have possibility to make researches at University of Alpena-Adria (Klagenfurt, Austria), University of Slupsk (Poland) and others. Every student is ready to the development of real commercial software after graduation.

Through matching the content of the curriculum specialty "IPZ" to the EQF (European Qualification Framwork) and international educational standards "Computer Curricula" diplomas of our graduates are recognized by employers both in Ukraine and abroad.

Educational and qualification characteristic

The bachelor on economic cybernetics is capable to carry out the specified types of works: economists-programmers, dealers and brokers, inspectors of tax administration, business processes economist, financial programming, IT-director, manager of IT-projects.

Our graduate is a programmer + economist + analyst.

Cybernetics is a modern expert who perfectly knows the specialized software for the solving of economic problems of the choice of the optimal solution and prediction.

Practically all decisions, from investments into currency and actions, before purchase or sale of the enterprises are accepted on the basis of mathematical calculations and model operation. This process is a key ability of our graduates. Advantage of the specialty "Economic Cybernetics" is to SEE, EXPECT and SOLVE problems with use of three components: ECONOMIC, MATHEMATICAL knowledge and PROGRAMMING.

 

 

Speciality "Software Engineering" is focused on developing and testing software quality (most fundamental subjects related to the software development process). 
Due to the high level of theoretical and practical training of our students after graduation successfully employed in companies specializing in software development to outsourcing IT companies, research institutions and Kherson Ukraine with wages at European level

- Develop a strategy to conduct enterprise on output and prices aimed at maximizing profits, given the characteristics of the market in which it operates.
