Enterprise Architecture Management

Summary

Within the course we will have a closer look at the discipline Enterprise Architecture Management. Three main topics are covered in this seminar: Motivation, definitions, concepts and relationship to other disciplines; methods, techniques and tooling; modelling approaches and frameworks; evaluation of Enterprise Architectures; managementa aspects.

Learning outcomes

After sucessful completion of the module, students are aware of the foundations of Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) and can apply their knowledge in first smaller EAM projects. They understand the main problems of EAM as well as how to solve these problems. They are able to analyze existing application landscapes and to build up a strategic plan to transform a current architecture to a target architecture. Moreover they understand EAM Governance and the application scenarios for EAM.
