Our vision for this master’s programme, Information and communication technology for development (ICT4D), is to prepare individuals who are ready and able to initiate and implement sustainable change with rigor in developing regions. Our goal is to train graduates who will be aware of the many challenges of development work and able to face them creatively and innovatively. As a student in this program, you will play an active role and we expect you to grow into a bold, knowledgeable and motivated Change Agent contributing to environmental, economic and social sustainability.

Shengnan Han is associate professor of computer and system sciences at Stockholm University. She received a Doctorate in Economics (information systems) from Åbo Akademi University, Finland in 2005. She is engaged in research on digital business, IT innovation, IT adoption and  diffusion, value-added mobile services (for business, healthcare, and governments), business process management, IT governance, and strategic IT management.  She has published 40 articiles in peer reviewed journals, internatiional conferences, and book chapters. Her paper has appeared  in Computers in Human Behavior, International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health CareInternational Journal of IT/Business Alignment and Governance, Journal of Systems and Information Technology,  International Journal of Mobile Communication, Compus-Wide Information Systems, and proceedings of ECIS, PACIS , AMCIS, CAiSE, and HICSS. She is on the editorial board for Electronic Market: the International Journal on Networked Business, and Telematics & Informatics.
