The lecture covers the fundamentals of information and knowledge management. In this context, information management is considered as a leadership function, with information and communication being seen as production factors in enterprises. From the perspective of knowledge management, enterprises are presented as knowledge-based systems. Accordingly, students are prepared for managing the utilization and the further development of knowledge. Moreover, the lecture focuses on the description of functions along the value chain of knowledge.
Students acquire the knowledge to understand, reflect on, and apply the methods of information and knowledge management.
