Summary
The Chair Application Systems in Business and Administration is part of the Information Systems Institute (IWI) at the University of Leipzig. Our work aims at the design of operative and analytical processes for application systems, in particular for systems with contact to customers and suppliers. Current projects revolve around Social Customer Relationship Management (Social CRM), In-Memory-Computing in Supply Chain Management and new technologies in the banking sector (Banking Innovations/FinTech).
Bachelor Programs
The teaching of the Chair of Application Systems comprises the research areas Enterprise Systems (integrated business application systems such as SAP ERP), Business Process Management, Business Intelligence, and Strategic Information Management.
Bachelor’s lectures concentrate on basic knowledge in Business Information Systems.
Master Programs
The teaching of the Chair of Application Systems comprises the research areas Enterprise Systems (integrated business application systems such as SAP ERP), Business Process Management, Business Intelligence, and Strategic Information Management.
Lectures for Master students focus on main research on Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management and Electronic Commerce as well as inter-company Process Management and IT in Finance.
