Students undertake an organisation based project related to an important IS management decision. The project includes a literature review and the writing of a case study.

This course provides students with an opportunity for advanced study of the management of information systems in an integrated learning environment which combines theoretical study and real life workplace setting. It is an organisation-based project course where each student examines one aspect of an organization’s management of information systems. The focus on one topic area within one organization allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of both theory and practice for the specific topic area. As well as providing students with a real-world learning experience, the project will enhance the student's skills in the following areas:
- Literature analysis skills by examining the literature in a specific area of IS relevant to the case project.
- Report writing and project management skills by managing a project through to completion.
- Synthesis skills by applying knowledge gained during an undergraduate major in an holistic manner.
