Service Management and Information Systems


Integrated information systems make a valuable contribution to service-oriented economies, such as retail, transportation, logistics, tourism, or healthcare. Besides the information functions in the service sector, this course examines in particular the technical bases of service management. Topics like service strategies, service quality, demand forecast and management, capacity planning and queues, ITIL and IT service infrastructures are covered in practical exercises and case studies.
